Thanksgiving is over, which means that you’ll have to put away the pumpkins and put up the lights. Here are some great DIY tips and tricks we found to quickly change from Thanksgiving to Christmas.

  1. Golden Christmas Lights. It makes sense to have the green cord for Christmas lights for when you have to string them up outside, but you can add a little more pizazz Spray paint your green lights for extra pizazz. The tutorial on how to spray paint all things gold can be found here.
  1. Coffee Filter Garland. Gone are the days of popcorn and tinsel. Make a quick garland out of coffee filters and a little bit of yarn or string. If you have a bit of food coloring, you can also dye them filters! Find the guide here.
  1. Holiday Shakers. Turn your regular old salt and peppershakers to wondrous holiday scenes by adding in toy evergreens and deer.
  1. Honeycomb Wreath. Upcycle your old paper towel, wrapping paper and mailing tubes into a holiday wreath.
  1. Stackable Advent Calendar. Fill old mason jars or soup cans with chocolate and candies for a fun stackable advent calendar.
